Well, after a long and soft spoken month-and-a-half or so we meet again. Its good to see you, how have you been (feel free to email me an aswer if you would really like)? I must admit that the past few weeks have been a bit hectic, I am in the process of moving...fun stuff. The new apartment is very nice and is right in the heart of Milwaukee's ever-fashionable 'east side.' This has however put an unortunate delay the Based on a Story we Wrote in the Dark [EP] seeing how much of my time has been consumed in the process of packing and soon to be in unpacking. This did start me thinking on how we can at some points in our lives pack everything and move to another area. We have a home-base but are still slightly nomadic.

The Jason Webley show in Madison was a great success. It was certainly exciting to be opening for one of my musical idols up there with Meloy and Mercer. If you are not familiar with Jason his website is www.Jasonwebley.com; he is incredibly talented and thoroughly underrated.

Next, I have been working more towards the July 1st deadline on the 'Based on a Story we Wrote in the Dark [EP]', its within reach now, how exciting. Everything is just production now, mixing and 'mastering.' The process appears to be coming along nicely.

There will be many shows this summer, I promise. More details in a bit.

Also, in the next few weeks the website may under-go some dramatic changes. Please, do not be frightened, but give feedback on what you see. Odds are, if you don't like it, it won't stay long.

Until next time,
-Brandon

Happy April! A small bit of news this week:

The release date for 'Based on a Story We Wrote in the Dark [EP]' will be July first

The EP will be available on the bumbershoot store (the Shop portion) for $3.00, and I believe shipping is $2.50.

Now, generally, I think this EP, having been an obscene amount of work, calls for some celebration. A release party is in order. More details on this later.

Until next time,
-Brandon

Good day! So there has been a little bit of excitement in the last few days! I have a show coming up on April 7th opening for Jason Webley (specifics on the 'Tour Dates' page), who is easily one of my favortie musicians ever. If you haven't heard of him you should look him up, even better, you could come see both him and myself on April 7th in Madison.

Other than that, the album cover for 'Based on a Story we Wrote in the Dark [EP]' is finished, a release date for the EP is yet to be decided upon, but it has been a long time coming and I think it will have been worth the wait. Two hundred copies of the CD's will be printed in full color and will be available at the shows i will be playing, if you can't make it before the first two hundred are gone and you just can't stand feeling left out, it will also be availble on the 'Shop' portion of the site (Which is currently barren and unused).

This brings about another point, I think music is too expensive. That being said, I don't think people should have to pay a lot of money to enjoy good music. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that 'Based on a Story we Wrote in the Dark [EP]' will be sold for $3.00. The only reason I am even charging for it is because I need to pay for the packaging, were it not for that I would give it away. On that note, as well, I think I will be putting an older demo 'Oceans, Airplanes, and Tidal Waves' on to the 'Shop' soon for around $2.00.

Feel free to say anything about this, or ask questions about the show with Jason Webley, even 'Reserve' a Copy of the new EP.

Until next time

Well, as far as news goes, this being the first week of the new site, there is quite a bit! Soon everything should up and running for your consumption. This site will supply you with any information you would need about upcoming shows, music, or about me. I may even pour my heart and soul out every now and again, beware! There will also be music available, once and while I may put up an odd version of a song or something from a long time ago and ask that people check it out and give me some feedback. So you can be the first boy or girl on your block with the new hip (free) tracks. I would like to set up some sort of an (e)mailing list, or (e)telegraph line to keep people updated on various interesting things or send out reminders about upcoming shows. I would also like to set up a forum of sorts, a guest book/message board, for all the little things you may want to post on the site for everyone to see. I do believe that is all for now, just by way of mentioning it i would really like to thank Nate for helping me make the site at all. So, Nate, wherever you are, thanks.
Until next time
